Super Lightweight Filler & Fairing Compound is the ideal low-density filler for creating a light, easily-worked fairing compound especially suited for fairings small and large. Super Lightweight Filler & Fairing Compound mixes with greater ease than Micro Balloons and is approximately 30% easier to sand. It feathers to a fine edge. Not recommended under dark paint or other surfaces subject to high temperatures.
This produces a smooth strong Lightweight sandable Filler and Fairing compound. Holds a feathered edge well without crumbling.
Processing:
- Spoon out the required amount of the SLFFC into a pot.
- Mix epoxy resin with correct ratio of hardener and stir well.
- Add the activated epoxy resin & hardener to the SLFFC and stir well.
- Add more or less of the Activated epoxy resin & hardener to control the viscosity of the mixture.
Usually Toothpaste consistency.
Works well with our Laminating Epoxy Resin (which can also be supplied).
For best results coat the working area with activated epoxy resin & hardener to give a better bond for the Super Lightweight Filler & Fairing Compound to adhere to.
